realiti.express 2025

realiti.express 2025 took place on October 10 at Von Krahl Theatre in Tallinn, bringing together members of the extended reality (XR) community, including developers, researchers, and industry representatives. The event was organized by EEVR and followed a hybrid format with both on-site and online participation.

The program included 20 speakers from six countries, with one keynote, 15 talks, and one remote presentation. Across approximately seven hours of content, speakers presented case studies, project overviews, and applied research related to XR. Topics covered areas such as game development, simulation and defense use cases, immersive storytelling, and applications of XR in industry and education.

In addition to individual talks, the schedule included one panel session focused on XR education, where participants discussed collaboration between academic institutions and industry. The event hosted around 100 attendees on site, along with approximately 30 online participants.

Breaks between sessions and the post-event gathering provided opportunities for informal discussion and networking. The event served as a structured overview of ongoing XR projects and initiatives in the region, as well as a platform for sharing practical experiences and outlining future directions.

A highlight of the evening was the live demo of the Unitree Robotic Dog, which sparked lively discussion around real-world use cases and autonomous systems.

XR Mixer

In January 2025, EEVR hosted the XR Mixer at Delta Centre — a relaxed networking event bringing together professionals and enthusiasts from across Estonia’s immersive tech scene. The goal was simple: to create space for open conversation, new connections, and knowledge-sharing across different sectors involved in XR.

Attendees included representatives from local XR companies, creative agencies, educational institutions, and beyond. The evening featured two short presentations. The first offered insights into how VR, AR, and MR can elevate business operations, with an overview of the latest headsets and live demos to try them hands-on. The second was a special announcement from the CDG-Booster accelerator, officially opening their new call for companies developing immersive content, training software, and XR games.

We wrapped up this year with a meetup at TalTech IVAR Lab. This time the focus was set on using extended reality in business, R&D and public sector. In addition to hearing about Lab’s own projects and plans we  also got an insight of how XR is used in teaching engineering students (TalTech, Centre For Intelligent systems) and creating an opportunity for citizens to take part in urban planning (Tallinna Linn, Avalinn Project).
